Position Summary:
As the Regional Sales Team Manager – Semiconductor (RSM Semi), you will lead and grow a high-performing sales team, currently consisting of 4 Territory Managers (with plans to expand), an Inside Sales Rep, and a Customer Success Manager. You’ll oversee a $100M semiconductor product portfolio across North America, engaging with key customers including AMAT, LAM, MKS, Samsung, and Intel, while also nurturing a substantial base of smaller accounts. Our client’s five-year forecast predicts substantial growth, making this role critical for both managing portfolio expansion and developing team leadership
Working closely with the Senior Manager of Global Sales, Industry Managers, Product Managers and Cross Functional Business Team you’ll drive alignment with regional sales goals and strategic objectives. The RSM – Semi will be responsible for recommending and executing regional sales strategies, ensuring that revenue, profitability, and expenses align with established sales objectives. Key responsibilities include providing effective coaching, management, and employee development for the local sales team, while translating sales strategies into actionable results.

Compensation:
- Salary Range – $150-170K
- Sales Incentive Program – $55K annual target
- Choice of Vehicle Lease or Cash Allowance

Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development: Select, coach, and retain top sales talent. Provide ongoing feedback to drive performance, fostering a culture of high achievement through consultative selling and effective territory management.
- Strategic Sales Planning: Collaborate with the Global Sales Manager to develop and execute regional sales strategies, aligning tactics to meet industry and territory sales targets.
- Territory Management: Ensure broad coverage of your customer base using a mix of Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Channel Partners, and cross-functional teams where appropriate.
- Account Growth: Grow the regional account base, achieving revenue, profitability, and market share targets that align with the company’s broader business goals.
- Customer Engagement: Cultivate high-level industry contacts to promote the company’s technologies, generating customer demand and strengthening relationships.
- Sales Forecasting: Provide accurate regional sales forecasts, flagging any deviations from plans in a timely manner and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet market demand.
- Negotiation & Coaching: Participate in sales negotiations when necessary and conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings to assess performance and deliver coaching for ongoing development.
Primary Position Requirement:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a technical field) or equivalent experience. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Industry Experience: 7-10 years of consultative or solution-based commercial experience in the semiconductor industry, with proven leadership capabilities, including coaching, goal-setting, and performance management.
- Leadership Experience: 2+ years of experience leading teams, mentoring direct reports, and fostering high-performance environments.
- New Product Development: Strong experience in new product development and introduction, with a solid understanding of production, planning, quality control, engineering, lean supply chain, finance, HR, and information systems.
- Union Experience: Experience managing union relationships and successfully driving improvements in areas such as overtime reduction, attendance, and compliance with union agreements.
- Collaborative Culture: A proven track record of motivating teams and inspiring leaders to work collaboratively and develop a culture of teamwork and personal growth.
