Position Overview:

Lead and oversee the Production, Production Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, and Maintenance at a 400-employee unionized facility. You will drive operational excellence across all these functions. With a team of direct reports that includes Production Planning Manager, 3 Production Managers, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and Maintenance Manager, you will ensure the seamless coordination of resources and production schedules.

 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all materials, products, and parts meet production and customer standards while prioritizing safety. You’ll drive performance in key areas—Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost Improvement, and Budget—across all production lines, ensuring goals are consistently achieved, and resources are used efficiently.

 

As a leader, you’ll foster a culture of continuous improvement and daily operational excellence, helping to maximize the growth and profitability of the plant’s value streams and production equipment. Your leadership will directly contribute to the long-term success and competitiveness of the site.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range – $175-200K
  • Bonus target of 25% based on performance.
  • 20 days of PTO and a comprehensive benefits package.

Primary Position Requirement:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Engineering or Science discipline) is required. Lean certification(s) preferred.
  • Experience: 15+ years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Facilities Operations, including a strong understanding of World Class manufacturing processes, production planning, maintenance, and CAPEX implementation practices.
  • New Product Development: Proven experience with new product development/introduction, with a comprehensive understanding of strategic concepts in production, product development, planning, quality, engineering, lean supply chain, finance, human resources, and information systems.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead Hi-Performance teams and align resources to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate will have direct management experience across Production, Production Planning, Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance.
  • Union Experience: Strong experience holding a Union accountable is required, with a track record of reducing O/T, improving attendance, and ensuring compliance with union contracts.
  • Collaboration & Culture: Proven success in motivating departments to work collaboratively and inspiring leaders to foster a culture of teamwork and personal development throughout the organization is required.
