Our Process

Key Steps to successfully launch your project include:

Develop

Develop the Project Plan, including the Timeline, Interview Process, and Update Plan. We will develop a comprehensive project timeline that includes every stage of the search process: Candidate sourcing, screening, application review, interviews, candidate and client debriefs, offer negotiation, background checks, and onboarding. We regularly review and adjust the timeline to ensure alignment with project goals and client needs.

Define

Define the criteria for the ideal candidate, including essential technical, leadership and soft skills. Factor in cultural alignment, and other HR related considerations. This will prepare our team to compile comprehensive information into each candidate application packet to help the hiring manager and HR team make well-informed decisions. This step ensures that interviews are productive and focused on finding the best fit for the role.

Discuss

Discuss the Hunt Focus. Where we are most likely to find our candidate pool? We will discuss the ideal source company profile including size, type (private, public, etc.), geographic locations, and any other factors to ensure we are targeting the right source companies. We will also review competitor and competitor-adjacent companies, and discuss whether there are specific companies we should target or avoid (i.e. – suppliers, customers, etc).

Determine

Determine top talent engagement factors to capture initial candidate interest and develop that interest as the interview process advances. We will discuss your company values, leadership team, corporate culture, cross-functional team dynamic, employee retention, opportunity for advancement, and any other factors that will make your company most desirable. This is particularly important for inactive and passive job seekers, and also important for active job seekers who often have multiple opportunities in play. By the time we get to the offer table, the candidate needs to see our opportunity as worth making the jump, and more attractive than other options within their reach.

A Deeper Dive

What Tools do we need in our toolbox to launch your Project?

Recruiting Collaterals

Let’s make sure we have the right tools in the toolbox before we start building!

Job Description

Start with engaging text to capture the reader’s attention, including enticing details about the company and why the opportunity is exciting. Ensure we have clearly captured job responsibilities, job requirements (clear and measurable), and clearly define the level of importance of each requirement. Utilize AI tools to ensure our text is as engaging to the reader as possible.

Screening Tools

Discuss and determine what information beyond the resume will be most important to capture in candidate email prescreens and phone screens, enabling the hiring manager and HR team to make the most informed decision whether to advance the candidate to interview.

Candidate Deep Screen

Discuss the most important aspects of the role that the hiring manager would like to learn more about, beyond what is contained in the resume, to enable the team to make the most informed decision whether to advance the candidate to interview. When we effectively capture this detail, the information obtained from the candidate also serves as an excellent launching point for a highly productive interview process. In collaboration with the hiring manager, we develop a 3-4 “Key Question” candidate homework assignment, focused on areas such as key technical expertise, critical leadership skills, team collaboration, customer interactions, noteworthy achievements, and 30-60-90 transition planning. This information is included in the candidate application packet. The candidate’s significant time investment into this process provides our team an indicator of their interest and provides an opportunity to establish rapport, trust and mutual transparent communication early on in the process with each candidate. This deep relationship building process helps us reduce risk as we advance a candidate through the interview steps, and enables the candidate to become intimately aware of what they are signing up for. Not only does this maximize project close success rate, but also helps ensure a long-term, successful placement.

Interview Process

We work with our clients to develop a structured interview process.

• Clear steps and participants for each interview stage.
• Strategies to gather feedback from candidates and interviewers promptly.
• Plans to avoid scheduling conflicts and ensure smooth transitions between interview stages.
• Consensus-building for decisions after each interview.
• Detailed plans for offer negotiation, including specific actions and responsibilities.
• Ongoing engagement with candidates from offer acceptance to onboarding.
• Support through background and reference check process.
• Post-onboarding follow-ups to ensure a successful transition.

Weekly Project Updates

• Number of candidates sourced.
• Candidate engagement rates and progress in the screening process.
• Reasons provided for candidate declines.
• Recommendations for next steps.
• Scheduling recommendations for project alignment video check-ins with the team.

Teamwork

Successful searches depend on close collaboration between our team and the client’s interview team, including the hiring manager and HR representative. Transparent communication, timely feedback, and constructive discussions are key to keeping the project on track. We expect the same level of transparency from candidates to ensure thorough vetting and effective offer negotiation. Our measure of success is not simply closing the search. What gets our team most excited is to see a hired candidate promoted and to help the hired candidate build their high-performance team.
