We are searching for two engineers to fill these newly created positions that will support our growing client after new program wins. We are searching for Level 2 Engineers, which require 3-6 years of relevant experience, but our client is also open to hiring candidates with less or more experience. These roles report to the Engineering Manager and will join an engineering team that is currently 19 strong. The products the team focuses on are primarily build-to-print complex composite structures. Key customers include GE, Safran, and Rolls-Royce, and the program focus is diversified, approximately 50% commercial and 50% military. This engineering organization has also recently expanded into the Space market and supports Falcon 9 launches for SpaceX. Programs will consist of new product introductions and recurring production. Engineers are assigned programs of responsibility and rotate as the program mix evolves to provide each team member with program diversity and enable healthy team collaboration. The team works hands-on, approximately 50% of the time supporting the manufacturing team on the shop floor and 50% behind a computer.

- Experience with aerospace composite manufacturing (i.e., Prepreg Layup, RTM/VARTM, autoclave processing, composite finishing processes) is ideal. Candidates lacking this product or market focus must demonstrate their aptitude to transfer their product/market skills into this environment.
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings is required, with a basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred.
- Understanding of quality systems and regulatory compliance from within a highly regulated industry (Aerospace, Medical Device, etc.) is preferred.
- Proficient in using Microsoft software (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio) to enable the creation of work instructions and other production documentation.
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, CATIA, etc.) is preferred.
- Use of manual metrology instruments and understanding of proper measurement techniques is required.
- Working knowledge of understanding of lean tools such as 5S, Visual Factory, and value stream mapping is desired.

Client and Position Summary:
This role will backfill a senior-level engineer who has worked here for 17 years and is moving new product introductions. This individual will coach and mentor the new hire. This person will become the sole in-house tooling expert for this manufacturing facility. The Tooling Engineer focuses on designing, engineering, and managing production tooling for advanced composite structures and assemblies. The tooling engineer works with manufacturing engineering and operations to create and optimize the tool string for quality, cost, and throughput.
The engineer communicates the tool requirements to potential tooling suppliers through a Statement of Work and associated supporting data (e.g., CAD models, drawings, simulations, etc.) and participates in project tracking efforts. The hired candidate will be the primary point of contact with tooling suppliers selected for each program. Primary Position Responsibilities:
- Designs and procures production tooling for complex composite layup, RTM, machining, and assemblies using specifications or department/customer guidelines and requirements.

- Basic technical skills, theories, and concepts related to the design and development of tooling for high-performance composites, complex assemblies, and structures are required.
- Experience with 3D CAD tools (CATIA V5/3DX, Siemens NX, SolidWorks) is required.

- Support Master Planner to build the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on the customer demand and inventory build plan.
- Pilot the incoming material flow (Raw material, Consumables, non BOM material) to keep material stock in accordance with production plan. Ensure the adequation between needs and open purchase orders. Define the safety stock and re-order point for all items.
- Pilot the storing and warehousing of all material to ensure quality and guarantee the appropriate storage management (FIFO, LIFO, Sled date monitoring).
- Work closely with suppliers, procurement, and internal departments to effectively manage VMI, min/max items. Streamline activities associated with all subcontracting activities.
- Achieve Supply Chain objectives by analyzing warehouse operations information for contribution to strategic plans and reviews. Prepare and implement plans for efficient, safe storage and distribution of material.
- Provide MRP Support, monitoring material demands/purchasing activities to minimize inventories and protect customer need dates.
- Owns the accuracy of the Physical Inventory of the site (Raw material, Finished goods, Consumables, WIP).
- Generate and submit timely reports where required. Ensure supporting documentation is managed effectively.
- Develop working relationships with internal and external customers and complete activities timely.
- Must be collaborative, can successfully manage the Supply Chain team and be able to interact with all disciplines including Program Development, Customer Service, Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Human Resources, Customers and Suppliers.
- Accomplish the recruitment, selection, training, coaching and counseling of employees. Develop and implement staffing strategies required to support company objectives.

- Pilot the incoming material flow (Raw material, Consumables, non BOM material) to keep material stock in accordance with production plan. Ensure the adequation between needs and open purchase orders. Define the safety stock and re-order point for all items.

- Competitive base salary starting at $170,000 up to $180,000 annually.
