Our customer is a major, mid-sized manufacturer of sophisticated composite parts and aerostructures for fixed wing, rotor wing, missile, and other related airframe and engine military and commercial platforms that are both established and emerging. Its capacity to create intricate, highly customized composite parts and assemblies is their main competitive advantage. Due to difficult performance or geometry requirements, their solutions allow their clients to deploy lightweight, high-performance composites in areas where they were previously impractical.

We are seeking a skilled HR Manager who is passionate about talent management, employee engagement, and driving organizational success. The HR Manager is someone who can develop and execute strategic staffing and talent management plans, manage the employee onboarding process, and lead the way in creating a positive and engaging work environment. We are specifically seeking candidates with experience from within a ~500+ employee high tech manufacturing environment, SOX compliance mindset, strong track-record driving employee retention, and familiar with Utah employment law. The HR Director is a strong believer in personal career growth, who enjoys mentoring/training his direct reports, and is looking for a candidate with the ambition to grow their career.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting the overall HR strategy and objectives of the company, collaborate closely with the HR team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of HR services in alignment with the company's goals and values. HR Managers serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, providing guidance and advice on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. You’ll leverage your expertise and leadership skills to proactively address and resolve employee relations issues, conducting investigations when necessary, and ensuring fair and consistent treatment of all employees.

  • Support the performance management process by coaching managers on effective goal-setting, performance feedback, and development planning. Collaborate with managers to identify training and development needs and coordinate relevant programs and initiatives.
  • Partner with the HR team to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee engagement. Plan and execute employee recognition programs, company-wide events, employee communication plans, employee recognition programs, and supervisor development initiatives that promote a strong company culture and enhance employee morale.
  • Develop and execute site staffing and talent management plans, including promotions, role reassignments, and succession planning decisions in alignment with division-wide process.
  • Collect and analyze HR data to generate reports and provide insights on key HR metrics, such as turnover rates, recruitment effectiveness, and training outcomes. Make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement and decision-making.
  • Manage the employee onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and effective transition for new hires.
  • Oversee the hourly compensation system for the Business Unit and provide leadership or support in the divisional salary administration process.
  • Act as the HR lead for employment policy issues within the Business Unit, recommending new policies and edits to existing divisional policies.

Primary Position Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a HR Manager role within the aerospace manufacturing industry or a similar high-tech manufacturing environment is preferred. Candidates with 1-2 years HR Manager experience may be considered if their prior experience is highly aligned.
  • MBA, or professional certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP are desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR-related software.
  • Experience with data analysis and HR metrics reporting.
