Position Overview:

We are seeking a Director level Finance executive, or a candidate who can demonstrate they are ready for the next setup up into a Director role. Imagine joining a global powerhouse in aerospace manufacturing, where innovation meets the sky. Our client, a mid-sized industry leader, crafts cutting-edge composite components and aerostructures for a spectrum of fixed wing, rotor wing, missile, and airframe platforms. Their unique strength lies in fashioning bespoke, intricate composite parts, empowering customers to unleash lightweight, high-performance solutions.

As the company soars to new heights, this role takes the helm of our flagship, steering the highest-growth segment of our operations. The Divisional Head of Operations Finance envisions a candidate not just for the position but as a future contender for promotion, anticipating upward moves within our dynamic organization.

A successful candidate should possess robust experience in developing high-performance finance teams. This entails ensuring that each team member comprehends the intricacies of highly regulated defense contracts and can adeptly navigate the complexities of Long-Term Contract Accounting. Contract profitability is quarterly assessed based on Estimate of Completion, and revenue recognition aligns with Percentage of Completion (our client adheres to ASC 606).

A history of working closely with a divisional GM (Profit and Loss holder) and the Head of Operations Finance will be crucial to this role. This collaboration is pivotal for evaluating and making strategic decisions that contribute to positive financial outcomes. Furthermore, the candidate should be well-versed in fostering an environment of robust program financial control.

This role includes a competitive salary, short- and long-term incentive compensation plans, a generous PTO package, and full benefits.

  • Strong experience successfully partnering with a divisional GM, Head of Operations Finance, and other executive leaders to develop/execute strategic decisions which have driven positive results with respect to long term government contracts is required.
  • Strong experience developing high performance finance teams, capable of navigating the complex challenges of long-term government contracts is required.
